About Brittany Gilbert for Velocifox Digital

Hi, I’m Brittany! Digital marketing is my passion, and I enjoy working with real estate agents, brokerages, and other small and medium-sized businesses to deliver results from their marketing efforts. After graduating with my B.S. degree from Troy University, I gradually earned a position as the Marketing Director for one of Orlando’s top real estate brokerages. The resources there allowed me to spread my wings in terms of creating and implementing complete real estate digital marketing strategies, as I was able to help many of the agents and teams within the organization in addition to the brokerage itself. I held that position for over five years before becoming a freelance digital marketing strategist, giving me the freedom to work with many international real estate brands such as RE/MAX and Keller Williams, as well as different business types including law offices, retail shops, financial advisors, property management, builders, and more. I founded Velocifox Digital once I found several amazingly talented individuals that I knew I wanted on my team permanently, so we could work together to provide better service to more businesses. In addition to working with clients, I take an active role in the real estate community. You’ll find my contributions on several industry-specific sites such as ActiveRain.com and HelloAgent.com. I also work directly with business owners to provide marketing and technology training to help them take production to the next level. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Local Search Optimization Will Help Your Business

You’ve probably been searching for something on Google near you like a restaurant or maybe something like "Italian food" and the first results on Google's search is a map with a list of 3 to 5 Italian restaurants listed below it that are physically near your current location. That's called a Local Pack SERP Feature. If you have a business and your business listing does not show up in Google’s search results in that same [...]

How to Audit Your Website’s SEO – Step by Step Guide

I was prompted to write today's blog because of a client I have that has been completely taken advantage of by their previous website designer.  This client came to me requesting a new website, and when we really started talking about the current website, it became clear pretty quickly that something just wasn't right.  I took a look "under the hood" of the current website, and was somewhat stunned... and not in a good way. [...]

The Future of Targeted Marketing – Search Data, Retargeting, and Ads

I'm thinking about getting a new car.  Anyone who knows me personally knows that's a BIG deal.  I love my current car so much that I'd sleep in the garage with it if my husband would let me.  But, we're committed to traveling more, and we crave the extra space that my convertible just doesn't provide. We've looked at just about every make and model of vehicle in the US auto market.  We're picky buyers, [...]

Listing Photos – Include Bathroom Photos or Not?

Over a month ago, I had a conversation with an agent about a listing that he said just wasn't getting enough traction. It got plenty of views online and was at a competitive price point, but he was surprised that there just wasn't many showings. He asked me to take a look and give my opinion. His marketing photos were good - not outstanding, but I've definitely seen worse. I came to the honest conclusion [...]

Your Website’s Mobile-Friendliness Now Affects SEO

Is your real estate website mobile-friendly? Are you sure? Here's Why it's Suddenly a Big Deal I'm sure you already know that having a mobile-friendly website is significantly important because so many people are browsing the internet from their mobile device these days.  Websites that integrate with mobile browsers and devices have become a standard in most industries, so many businesses don't even have to think about it. Unfortunately, that's not the case with the [...]

WARNING: Facebook Likes Decrease on March 12

If you measure your social media success by Facebook 'Likes', get ready for a little disappointment on March 12th. According to an alert message that Facebook is sending to it's advertising and page managers, they're planning to release an update soon because they have changed "the way we measure how many people like your Page."  The alert message goes on to say that your Page may see a "decrease in likes after March 12, when [...]

Why Should I use WordPress for my Real Estate Website?

Believe it or not, the field of web design isn't all that different from the field of real estate.  As Realtors, I know you're often faced with people who think they are just fine (or even better off!) buying and selling real estate without using a Realtor at all.  No matter how many times the industry tells consumers that having a Realtor is the safest, best, and most logical way to have successful real estate transactions, [...]

3 Quick Tips for Solopreneurs

Have you heard the word 'solopreneur' yet?  According to the Urban Dictionary, a solopreneur is defined exactly as the word would suggest: "An entrepreneur who works alone, 'solo,' running their business single-handedly. They might have contractors for hire, yet have full responsibility for the running of their business." "The typical solopreneur is easily tempted to become a work-a-holic, not feeling their work is ever done! They do the administrative tasks, marketing, customer service and service [...]
