About Brittany Gilbert for Velocifox Digital

Hi, I’m Brittany! Digital marketing is my passion, and I enjoy working with real estate agents, brokerages, and other small and medium-sized businesses to deliver results from their marketing efforts. After graduating with my B.S. degree from Troy University, I gradually earned a position as the Marketing Director for one of Orlando’s top real estate brokerages. The resources there allowed me to spread my wings in terms of creating and implementing complete real estate digital marketing strategies, as I was able to help many of the agents and teams within the organization in addition to the brokerage itself. I held that position for over five years before becoming a freelance digital marketing strategist, giving me the freedom to work with many international real estate brands such as RE/MAX and Keller Williams, as well as different business types including law offices, retail shops, financial advisors, property management, builders, and more. I founded Velocifox Digital once I found several amazingly talented individuals that I knew I wanted on my team permanently, so we could work together to provide better service to more businesses. In addition to working with clients, I take an active role in the real estate community. You’ll find my contributions on several industry-specific sites such as ActiveRain.com and HelloAgent.com. I also work directly with business owners to provide marketing and technology training to help them take production to the next level. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Cohesive branding is a cornerstone of successful social marketing! When people who don't know you arrive at your Facebook business page, or view your Twitter profile, or even check out your LinkedIn page, does what they see accurately reflect your business's brand? When someone lands on a page on the internet, whether it's a website or a social media page, they should be able to determine who you are, what you do, and at least one reason that [...]

Real Estate Leads Online but NOT From Zillow or Trulia

Tired of paying monthly fees to Zillow and Trulia for real estate leads online? A lot of agents have a website, but not many of them are using them to their full potential to generate real estate leads online.  Instead, most agents prefer to pay large monthly advertising fees to companies like Zillow and Trulia.  It's an acceptable marketing plan; hundreds, if not thousands, of agents rely solely on Zillow and Trulia to hand them [...]

Facebook Marketing Facts You Need to Know

Facebook Marketing Facts Have you ever really considered the metrics of Facebook marketing?  If you do some research, then apply some critical thinking, you'll come up with some truths that I think might surprise you.  Well, it really surprised me when I first started to realize them. I think about things like this because I spend a lot of time trying to convince my clients to do videos, create a YouTube channel, and gain a [...]

Real Estate Video Marketing

Real Estate Video Marketing A beginner's guide to DIY real estate video marketing! Every Realtor seminar and conference you go to today has at least one session dedicated to videos for real estate.  Real estate video marketing isn't as difficult as it seems; sure it's a tad technical, and there's a cost associated with getting into it, but my listing agents tell me that their sellers adore it!  Telling a seller that their home will be featured [...]

Real Estate SEO

Write your own SEO content, or have someone else do it for you - here's my tips! Real Estate SEO content writing can be a tough task, especially if you don't particularly like the act of writing or you don't know much about SEO.  But that's okay; there are a lot of ways to host great content on your website, blog and social media channels even if you don't want to write!  You just have to know [...]

Hiring Marketing Help

How to Hire Marketing Help The good, the bad, the ugly (and the contracts!) When it comes to hiring marketing help, there are two ways to go about it: you can hire a third-party company or consultant to do contract work, or you can hire an in-house person in a part-time or full-time position.  Hopefully, I'll give you some great pointers for both scenarios, as I've done it both ways several times.  If you're curious [...]

Cardinal Marketing Sins

Cardinal Marketing Sins These marketing sins are the ones I see throwing kinks into most marketing plans. There are a lot of people telling you what to do when it comes to marketing, but I wanted to outline some of the biggest mistakes that I see.  I call them "cardinal marketing sins" because being overly dramatic is kind of my thing. 1) No plan or strategy. If you think that your marketing is going to [...]

Google Authorship – What is it, and why is it important?

Google Authorship What is it, and why is it important? We all know that Google is pretty much the king of the search engines.  If you're wondering what the actor's name was in the movie you saw over the weekend, you don't "bing it", nor do you "yahoo it"... you GOOGLE it!  Google is the only search engine that has become a verb, and that's just one of the reasons that it's on top of [...]

DIY Digital Marketing vs Hiring an Expert

DIY vs Hiring an Expert in Digital Marketing There are many pros and cons of hiring a marketing expert to do your digital marketing for you, just as there are many pros and cons of learning many of the trades yourself.  I get asked time and time again to list the benefits of each, as well as the sacrifices involved.  There is no clear winner, the truth is that each person has different goals and sometimes, hiring [...]
