About Brittany Gilbert for Velocifox Digital

Hi, I’m Brittany! Digital marketing is my passion, and I enjoy working with real estate agents, brokerages, and other small and medium-sized businesses to deliver results from their marketing efforts. After graduating with my B.S. degree from Troy University, I gradually earned a position as the Marketing Director for one of Orlando’s top real estate brokerages. The resources there allowed me to spread my wings in terms of creating and implementing complete real estate digital marketing strategies, as I was able to help many of the agents and teams within the organization in addition to the brokerage itself. I held that position for over five years before becoming a freelance digital marketing strategist, giving me the freedom to work with many international real estate brands such as RE/MAX and Keller Williams, as well as different business types including law offices, retail shops, financial advisors, property management, builders, and more. I founded Velocifox Digital once I found several amazingly talented individuals that I knew I wanted on my team permanently, so we could work together to provide better service to more businesses. In addition to working with clients, I take an active role in the real estate community. You’ll find my contributions on several industry-specific sites such as ActiveRain.com and HelloAgent.com. I also work directly with business owners to provide marketing and technology training to help them take production to the next level. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with you!

Real Estate Facebook Pages – Like a BOSS!

Real Estate Facebook Pages - Like a BOSS! Most small business owners and sales people start a Facebook business page at some point, but after posting regularly for a few months, completely desert it and go back to trying to get in front of people the old fashioned way.  Why is that?  Why would we, as marketers, not care to use the world's largest social media platform properly?  The short answer is that we are [...]

Elliot Rodger: 5 Social Media Warning Signs

Elliot Rodger Social Media Warning Signs Being the social media marketer that I am, I'm rendered speechless this evening while scrolling through some of the social media accounts belonging to Elliot Rodger, the alleged Isla Vista murderer who went on a killing spree this weekend.  The details of this case are all over the media, and there is a lot to be discussed about the issues surrounding this incident: misogyny, gun control, psychiatric care, bullying, [...]

Real Estate Video – Overcome Being Camera Shy!

Real Estate Video:  3 Ways to Overcome Being Camera Shy In a sales meeting with my team at RE/MAX, everybody says they're stoked to do some real estate videos.  The team is amped up: "Hell yeah I'll get in front of the camera!  What day?  Let's do it!"  Cut to filming day, and my team of boisterous, outgoing Realtors quickly turns into a team of sullen, quiet, sit-in-the-corner-and-mumble types.  What is it about a video camera [...]

Real Estate Social Media – Don’t Let Running Your Business Ruin Your Business

Real Estate Social Media Why YOU should be on social media, and not just your business It's 2014, and thankfully, most brands have at least one social media account.  Hopefully, they're using that account in all the right ways!  However, it's important to note that the practice of writing in a corporate voice on social media is fading fast.  People want to talk to other people, not a business front.  I'm not saying that you should ditch your [...]

Please, run that by the marketing department first…

We've all seen bad marketing pieces before... the kind that make you scratch your head or give you a headache to look at.  They're tough to read, or they're tough to comprehend; they have errors or even completely inaccurate information. Look, graphic design is hard work.  Anyone who says it isn't might just be trying to pull the wool over your eyes!  Creating a marketing piece that is balanced, pleasing to look at, and informative [...]
